He Makes You Cry | Damian Cross x Reader

Emotional scene of Damian Cross comforting Y/N as she cries on the bed, warm lighting and soft colors symbolizing healing and love.

Silence hung heavy in the air, punctuated only by the ticking clock and your ragged breaths. You sat on the edge of the bed, tears streaming down your face, staining the soft pillowcase.

Across from you, Damian Cross stood, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. His face was a mask of controlled fury — a stark contrast to your open display of emotion.

“So that’s it?” he finally growled, his voice barely above a whisper. “You just give up?”

You tried to speak, but the words got caught in your throat, choked by the sobs that wracked your body. He misinterpreted your silence, and his anger flared.

“Don’t tell me you got bored of me!” he shouted, his voice booming through the room. “Don’t you dare say that after everything we’ve been through!”

His words stung like a slap. You managed to choke out a denial, your voice shaky and hoarse. “No, Damian, that’s not it,” you whispered. “It’s just… it’s too hard.”

He scoffed, a harsh, humorless sound. “Hard? Since when do you care about things being hard? You’re Y/N. You’re supposed to be strong.”

His words felt like daggers. You wanted to scream, to tell him this wasn’t about strength but about your heart breaking — but the words stayed trapped inside.

“Damian, please,” you pleaded softly. “Just… just listen to me.”

He hesitated, then sighed, sitting beside you on the bed. “Fine,” he muttered gruffly. “Talk.”

You took a deep breath and opened up — about your doubts, your fear of failure, the pressure, the expectations. You confessed that you felt lost, uncertain of yourself and your future.

As you spoke, his expression softened. The anger faded, replaced by concern. He reached out and took your hand. “I’m scared, Damian,” you said through fresh tears. “I’m scared of losing everything. Of losing you.”

He squeezed your hand, his thumb tracing small circles. “Hey,” he murmured, “look at me.”

You did — and saw it. The care, the warmth, the love in his eyes. “You’re not going to lose me,” he said firmly. “I’m here. Always.”

He pulled you into a tight embrace, your tears soaking into his shirt. “I love you,” he whispered, his lips brushing your ear. “And I’ll never let you go.”

The words melted away the pain. You clung to him, feeling safe for the first time that day. Whatever storms lay ahead, you knew you’d face them together.

He leaned close, his voice softer now. “We’ve been through worse. We’ll get through this too.”

You nodded against his chest. “We will,” you said, the tremble in your voice replaced with quiet determination.

He smiled faintly, brushing your hair aside before kissing you — a promise in that single touch. When you finally pulled away, the tension had lifted. You knew the path ahead wouldn’t be easy, but you also knew you had him by your side.

As dawn painted the room in soft light, you watched him sleeping peacefully beside you. You traced his face with your fingers and smiled. “Whatever comes,” you whispered, “we’ll face it together.”
